Apply Now for the Rainbows in Gastro Research Award!
We are requesting applications for the inaugural “Rainbows-in-Gastro” (RiG) Health Equity Award for 2026. The purpose of the award is to assist trainees and early-stage investigators in obtaining seed funding for health equityfocused research (including work focusing on digestive health equity for sexual and gender minority communities). This mechanism, open to all eligible applicants, is intended to promote research that seeks to address health inequity beyond finding associations that are expected in historically minoritized communities. A broad range of proposals will be considered from all applicants (including those not identifying as sexual and gender minority individuals – all are invited to apply), including primary research, quality improvement, community-engaged work, and education and interventions.
