Dr. Rogers is currently completing a therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at Duke University. She earned her M.D. at the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine. While at UTMB she developed an interdisciplinary LGBTQI+ health education program that later became a permanent part of the curriculum. She then completed her internal medicine residency at George Washington University where she completed additional HIV training and worked in the Whitman-Walker Institute in D.C. She is passionate about LGBTQI+ health education and policy and has authored related legislation with the Texas and American Medical Associations to advance health equity in the field. She completed her GI fellowship at UT Southwestern where she learned high resolution anoscopy. She is now the education chair for Rainbows in Gastro and hopes to make education resources more widely distributable to training programs and to help practicing physicians update their practice with the unique aspects of LGBTQI+ healthcare.
